The cricketing rivalry between Pakistan and England has always been a fierce one. We have many memorable moments full of individual heroics and historic clashes over the years. The Pakistan National Cricket Team vs England Cricket Team Timeline is full of sensational stats and records.
However, throughout 2024, Pakistan has been particularly dreadful, with bad to worse displays across all formats. Pakistan had fallen out of the T20 World Cup in quite a dismal group-stage exit.
It also questioned Babar Azam’s captaincy and his career that once was the pride of Pakistan cricket.
Over in England, a bit of trouble was brewing, but they were just staying ahead. After losing several of their best players in retirement, they have retreated to a growing team.
For a side in the front row of which stood Joe Root, who surpassed 1000 Test runs in a calendar year for the fifth time, only Viv Richards ever had a better record than the England run machine.
England has seen their fair share of retirements and departures since they entered T20 mode. Both the teams are in transition, and they have had some interesting head-to-head matches over their timeline.

Conclusion
While England and Pakistan have delivered uncounted scintillating cricket moments through the years, they have also been mysteriously unpredictable sometimes.
The performance highlighted the issues that can develop when relationships within the hierarchy become fractured and leadership is not sufficiently developed.
Pakistan has proven a formidable unit at its best with all components clicking.
However, inconsistencies and failings to deal with adversity when Babar Azam is dropped remain an ongoing work in progress.
England displayed great resolve and won combat easily in the Pakistan National Cricket Team vs England Cricket Team Timeline rivalry.
Joe Root makes five 1000-plus runs in Test cricket for England, and also more hopeful extra talents like HC Brook and Ben Duckett make their mark this year.
Both of these two sides have had their moments in the sun and shadows, too, but at least by the numbers, reckonings between them are generally tightly contested.
The bedrock of quality on both sides is also evident in the best partnerships and stunning individual displays. On the pitch, at least, past rivalries remain a huge influence on any plans for either side as both teams move into the future.
