To advertise this event, the ICC is kicking off the celebration with its latest campaign series, ‘Whatever it Takes‘.

She added, “The ‘Whatever It Takes’ campaign reflects the core of our Women’s Cricket Strategy, designed to elevate the sport by enhancing its visibility, perception, and fan engagement on a global scale.”

Several other initiatives have been taken to mark the occasion. The world’s tallest skyscraper, Burj Khalifa was illuminated in the vibrant colours of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. This further fueled the excitement and anticipation for the event.
This women’s championship is set to unfold over 18 days. The event is scheduled to take place at two iconic venues in the United Arab Emirates—Dubai and Sharjah.
A total of ten participating teams will split into two groups of five and the top two from each group will advance towards the semi-finals on October 17 in Dubai and October 18 in Sharjah.
The grand finale is scheduled to take place on October 20 in Dubai.
The event promises to be an unforgettable showdown with a record 3-fold hike in viewership for women’s cricket this year.
The ticket for the venue is set to be affordable at only 18 dirhams. Additionally, the event offers free entry for those aged under 18.
This initiative is expected the raise the spirit of cricket in the region. The tournament is expected to encourage teenagers and young adults to get involved in athletics, especially cricket.
