The much-awaited India vs Bangladesh test series is around the corner. On 8th September, BCCI announced India’s squad for the first IDFC First Bank Test series.
The series will kick off on September 19 at Chennai’s iconic M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
The greatest test captain, Rohit Sharma is back to own test cricket once again.
Mohammad Shami and Shreyas Iyer are missing from the squad. Iyer failed to make the cut due to internal reasons while Shami is still recovering from his Achilles surgery.
K L Rahul and Rishabh Pant make a return to test.
Rahul was dropped following the test against England this year.
Pant returns after 20 long months. The wicketkeeper batter was away due to injuries sustained in a car accident.
Another promising wicket-keeper batter Dhruv Jurel joins the squad.
Some notable bowlers who hit the mark for the test squad are Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel.
