The Ganesh Chaturthi Cricket Tournament was held on the 1st of September 2024 in Bengaluru.
This is a one-day, tennis ball cricket tournament played annually in honour of the people’s beloved Lord Ganesha. This year marks the third season of the tournament.
This competition is a culmination of multiple passions. Bengaluru witnessed a passionate crowd of cricket lovers and Ganpati enthusiasts cheer for their favourite teams at the venue.
The Ganesh Chaturthi Cricket Tournament was played at Bangalore’s ITI Ground KR Puram. The tournament featured 8 teams and 7 matches.

The winning team would take home the Ganesh Chaturthi Cricket Tournament trophy and a prize amount of INR 30,000. The team that ends as runners-up would win INR 20,000.
The tournament was a mine of remarkable players. Here’s what went down:
Following a gripping series of matches, SS Tigers, BMCC, AUL 11and former winners Om Shanti reached the semi-finals.
The matches saw some impressive performances from domestic cricket players Hurshi Sethi and Imran Khan.
Sai Warriors’ Rupesh, SS Tigers’ Manoj Sethi, and AUL 11’s Amarjit and Tapas Kumar emerged as star batters of the tournament.
AUL 11’s Rajibkumar Sahoo and Sai Warriors’ Sandipta Kumar Dalabehara Chandan stunned the audience with their immaculate bowling abilities.
Eventually, Manoj Sethi led the SS Tigers to victory with his exemplary sixes. The player was awarded with the trophy and the title of player of the match. Additionally, the team was presented with a prize money of INR 30,000.
Sai warriors finished as the runners-up.
The tennis bat cricket tournament fostered a sense of community and nurtured the spirit of cricket among aspiring cricketers. It serves as a unique celebration of sport and tradition and adds to Bangalore’s cricket legacy.
